Jerome Tang is an esteemed basketball coach renowned for his exceptional accomplishments in the sport. Notably, in 2023, he was honored as the Werner Ladder Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year and a runner-up for The Associated Press' National Coach of the Year. His coaching prowess was on full display as he led K-State to a remarkable 26-10 overall record and secured the school's 13th trip to the Elite Eight, an achievement not seen since 2017-18. Prior to this, Tang spent 19 seasons at Baylor, contributing to the team's 2021 NCAA National Championship victory and multiple Big 12 Championships. With an impressive coaching record, numerous awards, and a legacy of success at various institutions, Jerome Tang continues to be a driving force in the world of college basketball.
David R. Carothers, CIC, CRM, is the Principal of Florida Risk Partners, LLC, and an accomplished entrepreneur with a strong presence in the insurance and risk management space. He is the Principal of Game Changers Marketing, LLC, Catalyst Funding Solutions, LLC, and the Founder of Killing Commercial Insurance Training. David is also recognized as the international best-selling author of "The Extra 2 Minutes," a book that empowers sales professionals to excel in their careers. With degrees in Management and Marketing from Birmingham Southern College, David has spent nearly two decades in the industry, starting his career with a multi-million dollar commercial risk management firm. In 2016, he founded Florida Risk Partners, focusing on middle-market commercial accounts with multiple office locations in the Tampa Bay region. As a sought-after keynote speaker and presenter, David shares his expertise on sales, marketing, and account closing at industry conferences and associations. Despite his busy schedule, family remains his top priority, and he resides in Valrico, FL, with his wife Andrea, their children Grayson, Landon, Ethan, Caroline, and their faithful Golden Retrievers, Tanner, and Tucker.
With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Chris Cline is a recognized expert in topics ranging from agency operations, marketing, and sales to data analytics. He has taken the stage as a speaker on various occasions to share his insights on perpetuation, mergers, culture, and more. As the Executive Director of the Agents Council for Technology since spring 2022, Chris has furthered his leadership role. Previously, he held positions encompassing graphic design, marketing, sales, compliance, and personal lines leadership, fostering a deep understanding of the agency life cycle. Beyond his professional pursuits, Chris is devoted to lifelong learning, particularly within the independent agency channel, focusing on areas like DE&I, technology, and information security. Notably, he hosted the acclaimed podcast "Closing the Gap" and holds a Graphic Design degree from the University of Akron. Outside of work, Chris enjoys quality time with his family through camping, BMX racing, guitar playing, and indulging in his passion for automobiles, while also authoring his forthcoming book "Inertia of Legacy."
