Keeping Your KAIA Membership Information Current: It Matters More Than You Think
At KAIA, our goal is to provide every member with the highest level of service, resources, and support. One of the most important ways you can help us do that is by keeping your agency information up to date.
Throughout the year, agencies experience changes—new employees join the team, staff members leave, agencies open new branch locations, relocate offices, change ownership, merge with another agency, or update contact information. While these changes are part of doing business, they can significantly impact how we communicate with you and the services we provide if we aren't made aware of them.
Keeping your membership information current allows us to:
- Ensure the right people receive important communications and industry updates.
- Maintain accurate agency listings and member directories.
- Provide access to member benefits for your entire team.
- Calculate membership dues accurately and fairly.
- Keep carrier, education, and networking opportunities flowing to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond quickly when questions arise or assistance is needed.
Recently, KAIA conducted our annual membership information survey to collect updated agency data. We appreciate everyone who took the time to respond. However, reaching our final response rate required multiple reminder emails and follow-up communications, and ultimately just over 60% of our membership completed the survey.
While we are grateful for every agency that participated, our goal is much higher. We believe we can achieve a response rate closer to 90%, which would allow us to maintain a much more accurate membership database while reducing the time our staff spends following up for missing information.
The good news is that keeping your information current doesn't have to wait until our annual survey. We encourage agencies to notify KAIA throughout the year whenever there is a change, including:
- Hiring new employees
- Employee departures
- Agency sales or ownership changes
- New branch offices or office closures
- Address or contact information updates
- Website or email address changes
- Agency name changes
- Mergers or acquisitions
A simple email letting us know about these updates helps ensure your agency receives all the benefits of membership without interruption. (info@kaia.com)
We sincerely appreciate the agencies that consistently keep us informed and promptly respond to our requests for information. Your partnership helps us serve you more effectively and strengthens our entire association.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping make KAIA a strong, connected, and thriving community for independent insurance agencies across Kansas. Together, we can ensure our membership records remain accurate so we can continue providing the exceptional service our members deserve.
