YAK Reaches Fundraising Goal for My HeartCheck, But the Mission Isn’t Over

The Young Agents of Kansas (YAK) are excited to announce that they have reached their $5,500 fundraising goal for the 2026 Community Service Project benefiting My HeartCheck! This milestone will help fund 30 heart screenings for Kansas youth and young athletes, providing families with an opportunity to detect potentially life-threatening heart conditions before symptoms appear.

This year's project is especially meaningful to YAK Chair Jordan Crow, whose son's routine heart screening revealed a serious abnormality despite showing no symptoms. The discovery led to immediate, life-saving surgery and reinforced for Jordan just how important early detection can be. Her family's experience inspired her to select My HeartCheck as this year's beneficiary and help other families access the same opportunity.

Each screening costs $179, and reaching the initial goal means YAK can help fund 30 screenings. But the campaign isn't over yet!

YAK is continuing to raise funds to exceed its original goal and help as many Kansas children as possible. Every additional dollar brings more families one step closer to the reassurance that comes with knowing they've taken an important step toward protecting their child's heart health.

KAIA members, Industry Partners, and supporters are encouraged to join the effort. Whether through an individual donation or an agency contribution, every gift makes a difference.

Together, we can help more young Kansans pursue their passions, play the sports they love, and look forward to a healthier future.

Help YAK keep the momentum going! Donate to the 2026 Community Service Project benefiting My HeartCheck and help us go beyond 30 screenings.

Every heart has a story—and together, we can help more of them keep beating strong.
